Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Camino North Projects ("Camino North," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to caminonorth.ca only. Our Rethread app handles information differently — see "About Rethread" below.

What we collect

We only collect the information you choose to give us through a form on this site:

  • Work-with-us inquiries: your name, email, organization (optional), engagement interest, and your message.
  • Rethread beta requests: your name, email, device (optional), and any note you add.

We do not ask for, and ask that you do not submit, sensitive personal or health information through these forms. This site does not use advertising cookies and does not sell your data. We do use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics — see Analytics below.

Why we use it

We use your information solely to respond to your inquiry, to manage Rethread beta access, and to contact you about what you asked for. We rely on your consent, which you give when you submit a form, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Where it's stored

Submissions are stored in our database hosted by Supabase in the Canada (Montréal) region. This website is hosted on Vercel, and email is delivered through Google Workspace (Gmail). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Your form submissions are stored in Canada. Because our hosting and email providers are US-based, some information — such as the contents of an email we send to or receive from you — may be processed in the United States, where it can be subject to that country's laws.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers above that help us operate this site, and where required by law.

Analytics

To understand how this site is used and improve it, we use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service. It records aggregate, anonymized information — such as page views, the site that referred you, and general device type or country. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect information that identifies you personally.

How we protect it

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that limit who and what can read submissions, and spam and abuse protection on our forms. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed to follow up with you and for our reasonable business records — in most cases up to 24 months after our last contact — and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including Canada's PIPEDA, British Columbia's PIPA, and US state privacy laws), you can ask to access, correct, or delete your information, or withdraw your consent. To do so, email ceo@caminonorth.ca. We will respond within 30 days.

If you have a concern we haven't been able to resolve, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or — in British Columbia — the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Children

This website is intended for adults and is not directed at children.

If you need support now

This website is not a crisis service. In Canada and the US, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). In British Columbia, call 310-6789 (Mental Health Support Line, no area code) or 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433) — provincial lines listed by British Columbia Mental Health and Substance Use Services and the BC Ministry of Health. In an emergency, call 911.

About Rethread

Rethread, our journaling app, is local-first: your entries stay on your device. The only information that ever leaves your device is an optional AI reflection that you explicitly choose to turn on. Rethread has its own privacy terms, available within the app and on its website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
